Holly Lake Films first came to Pitch Deck Studios in 2023 for a single deck, Loved. Since then, producer Joseph Sernio and his team have brought every new feature back to the same team rather than shopping each project out separately. The relationship has grown from a one-off deliverable into a standing creative partnership, one that now covers a horror thriller, a psychological horror feature, a supernatural horror film, and the miniseries that started it all.
Holly Lake Films develops and produces independent genre features out of New Jersey and California, working across a rotating group of writers, directors, and producers depending on the project. What has stayed consistent across four years and four very different stories is who builds the pitch materials. Each new project comes with its own genre, tone, and cast, but Holly Lake Films keeps returning to Pitch Deck Studios to translate it into something investors and industry partners can respond to.
A single genre film deck is one thing. Staying the right creative partner across four different films, several different directors, and constantly shifting cast and story details is another. Holly Lake Films also tends to move fast, more than one project has landed with only a few days between the first draft and a hard deadline, so the partnership had to hold up under real time pressure, project after project, without the quality slipping.
Rather than treating each Holly Lake project as a fresh start, Pitch Deck Studios built on what had already worked for the client. Materials handed over for each new film, loglines, character breakdowns, comparable titles, mood references, sometimes AI generated concept art from a director, were translated into the same clean, cinematic presentation style the client had come to expect. For Loved, the team carried over layout choices from an earlier deck to keep continuity. By the time Harrow came around, Holly Lake Films was pointing directly to past Pitch Deck Studios work in its own portfolio as the style reference, evidence that the partnership had become a genuine shorthand rather than a vendor relationship that had to be re-explained every time.

Every project the partnership has touched has moved forward. Loved is now streaming on Amazon, Google Play, and Apple TV after collecting more than 75 festival awards. The Blood Between (originally pitched as Blood Fathers) is in post-production with a cast that now includes Al Sapienza and Amy Johnston. Hawley and Harrow are both in pre-production, each with its own site live and a pitch deck posted on the Holly Lake Films website. More than the individual outcomes, the partnership itself is the result: four projects in, Holly Lake Films still treats Pitch Deck Studios as the default choice rather than one option among several.
